How Is Life Coaching Different From Therapy?

Although I have over 25 years of experience as a clinical counselor— as a life coach I do not treat depression, anxiety or prescribe medication. However, my clinical background and training gives me a unique perspective on when to make a recommendation when therapy may be needed if I feel that you could benefit from speaking to a professional counselor/therapist.

Very often, having a therapist in conjunction with a life coach works out to be a very complimentary process. Your therapist will work through some of the deeper problems that may have held you back in the past, while the coach assists you in the forward moving process to obtain your goal.
